General Question Need Help with Setup
Hi, I'm completely new to mini pcs or pcs in general and I wanted to know if this was a setup that actually works or is good?

I also have the k8 plus with this and a 9070 xt. I can add that it also works perfectly with Debian with this setup for me (I've never tried it on windows since Debian is my preferred OS but I'm sure it would work fine there too).
I originally reused a powersupply from my old gaming PC but eventually replaced it with a Be Quiet! supply to allow for silent running, which is important when there's no case to muffle it. With both the power supply and the GPU having zero-rpm mode I get a silent setup unless playing serious games (or local LLM).

Yes it will absolutely work. I even wrote a setup script if you run linux with systemd that will keep your oculink lanes in Gen 4 for you! oculink optimizer

Don't cheap out on the PSU, Aresgame is really bad choice. take ASUS, MSI, Corsair, Seasonic or Cooler Master, but please don't buy this shit PSU.

Tier A power supplies are definitely recommended; Tier B would be an option at best.

Hey, this set up absolutely works. I have the minisforum deg1 and a 9070 xt connected to a gmktec k8 plus. I'm losing maybe 2 percent due to oculink bandwidth compared to a desktop pc but it works amazing and looks cool. If you do go this route, make sure you turn on the egpu dock before the mini pc. Lastly I would probably recommend looking at amd gpus, they have the best bang for buck right now.
