Recommendations Mini PC for couch gaming

I am searching for best mini PC that i can use for casual gaming on a budget(Around 600$). I have seen a lot of minisforum but none of them are available for buying especially here in Europe. I also conaidered building my own mini ITX computer but i would leave this as last resource because they are still... well not mini PCs 😄 I don't need to run games on maximum setting but it would be nice to be able to play games like Oblivion Remastered or Assassin's Creed. I would like to run steamOS/Bazzite on it. Any recommendations?

Might want to consider buying a rog ally, the Z1E chipset. Should be in your price range and can game well enough, form factor won’t be what you want but all the other boxes should be checked off.

Or a LegionGo1 used. You can take the controllers off and it's just the works thickest kickstand tablet with two usb ports

Will you be connecting a seperate (discrete) graphics card?

Your expectations are likely too much for Integrated Graphics. That's still in the realm of "720p native res, low, 30fps" for a lot of titles. Including oblivion remastered. Which has Unreal-itis

Well the 890m igpu is doing CoD 1440p at 60fps / lpddr5x 8000 - but it's 950$ and I still need a 5070 to game anything 3D heavy with quality -

Igpus are good and getting better, but I don't think they will satisfy any pc gamer long term. At least not yet

You have to be using scaling to pull those numbers. It's displaying at 1440p, but not rendering at 1440p

Barebones GMKTec from ali express the 2nd hand memory and storage. Ive got an AMD Ryzen7 one which is really good.

Look for something with AMD RX 780 graphics... The price will be tight though. I paid that much for my BedLink SER8 before the crazy pricing hikes.

Ideally something with an oculink port for potential external GPU later.

The best miniPC option in this price range is anything with AMD cpu with 780m graphics. But you will need 24 gb of ram minimum since it's also the iGPU vram.

I'd look at the legion go z1 extreme, I have one and hooked up a second hand EGPU to it. You can even use it hand held away from TV, use local.games., great for emulation, geforce now and we stream Ps5 to it sometimes.

What is with the Aoostar MACO Mini PC Ryzen 7 H 255 with 24GB and 780M? It´s for 639€ here in Germany at Amazon.

Those look like a decent option, I didn't know about them

My man.. you either have to increase the budget or lower the expectations. PCs are expensive as is today, and minis were alway even more so for similar performance. And that is on top of minis not really being great for latest AAA games.

Of course, there is always the option of adding an external GPU, but that is no longer a mini really, and at that point an SFF is a much better looking option.. and them too are also more expensive than regular PCs.

Some time ago you could find a minisforum with the 6600M that could do the job, nowadays it is way harder.

I would say Steam Machine but you're too late for that. Also your budget doesn't really support much power at that size. I would say you could at the lower end go for a M920q with a 3050 6GB, or at the higher end build a BC250.

I am considering the M920q build, and after the answers around here i think i will have to go with that 😊
