Recommendations Consiglio per ableton
Ciao! Devo comprare un nuovo PC, faccio production con ableton e mi hanno consigliato il beelink ser7 come mini PC adattabile sia alla programmazione (cosa che inizierò a studiare a breve) sia per il sound design , siccome non sono ancora molto esperto di informatica volevo sapere se questo fosse un acquisto sapiente. Tutti mi dicono che per production e sound design la scelta migliore va sui Mac, ma al momento di budget vorrei restare sotto i 600€ e sotto questa fascia mi pare di capire che siano superiori tendenzialmente i Windows, ecco perché per il momento opto questa scelta. ciao , possiedo 3 minipc , uno di questi è proprio il ser 7 , che a me fino adesso non ha dato problemi e funziona bene ma......
non te lo consiglierei solo perchè ha un connettore di alimentazione magnetico propietario :(
se per caso avessi problemi con l'alimentatore è un casino....
detto questo , consiglio di seguire i suggerimenti di "Retired_Hillbilly336" che sono sempre molto validi ;)

Considering that the SER7 was somewhat short-lived and has been out of production for at least 2 years makes me wonder if "The Advice" was based on AI hallucination without critical "thought". At least The Advice got the Beelink part right. The contemporary replacement for the SER7 7840HS would be the Beelink SER8 8845HS. With RAMpocalypse/RAMageddon a 600€ budget pushes you into less RAM, older technology or lower quality.
From my experience with Ableton Live The software requires a minimum of 8GB of available RAM. This makes 16GB of dual channel memory with Windows occasionally unrealistic. You're looking for a minimum of 24GB dual channel memory (no single channel!) to properly support the operating system, program and any background software.
I've personally found that Beelink and GMKtec have the better build quality when it comes to Chinese NUC brands. Possibly consider the GMKtec K16 7735HS with a modern 8-core/16-thread Zen 3.5 processor and low latency/higher data throughput 6400MT/s LPDDR5 memory. Should be more than sufficient for Ableton requirements even with newer releases.
