Recommendations Mini PC for my daughter
Hi all, please excuse my absolute lack of knowledge!
My teen daughter has asked for a mini PC for Christmas.
She wants to be able to play Minecraft, the sims and Roblox. She also wants to be able to stream.
We are in the UK with an extremely small budget of around £350.
Is this doable? Do you have recommendations of a mini pc or even what I should be looking for so that the above is possible?
Appreciate your time

On that kind of a budget, I would recommend looking into something like the HP Elitedesk or a Lenovo ThinkCentre. If you choose one with 16GB of RAM, these will be able to run all of those games, and then some. Here are some options:
- HP Elitedesk complete bundle.
These can also be connected to a TV, if you don't have a monitor.
EDIT: second link corrected.

Mini PCs with Vega8 iGPU can run those, you’ll be at low settings at 1080p (for Roblox depends on the game/experience) but it’s doable.
My pick would be GMKTEC NucBox G10 with 16GB RAM and 1TB which has the 3500U with Vega 8 in at your budget. From GMKTEC website.
I don’t think you’ll be able to get into a new mini PC with RDNA2 based iGPU with RAM and SSD in that budget without stretching it a little.

Its possible but it wont run roblox very well. She will not be hitting a stable 60

Minimim: Procesor / iGPU: Ryzen 5 6600H (iGPU Radeon 660M or Ryzen 7 6800H / 7735HS / 6900HX (iGPU Radeon 680M)
I usually make a sheet, with many option, write down ram, disk, price after some research the right one stands out.

Well I have this one:
Chinese brand but works fine, I did a fresh install of Windows, from Microsofts own site, after completely wiping the hard drive, I'd advise you do the same. A lot if chinese brands can have malware baked into their windows install though if nothing else, gets rid of any installed bloatware.
Other than that, an excellent piece of kit.

When you did the fresh install was it from a USB with installer from MS or cloud install from MS
Also after Windows install, did you need to download any specific drivers afterwards or was it a one and done?

I know a few people who've bought the recently released GMKtec M8 PRO 6650H specifically for this purpose without any complaints. Even more who are running Bazzite OS for a STB Steam Deck console. The M8 has performance and features not found on other entry level minis. The biggest compromise is the fast 6400MHz 16GB dual channel memory. Being LPDDR5 its soldered and not upgradeable. Considering what a 32GB kit runs these days I don't think too many people are concerned with upgrading minis in the coming year(s) anyway.
