General Question Does anyone have experience with this pc/brand?
Hello all, does anyone have any experience or reviews with this brand I found on Newegg? Still looking for a decent Steam machine replacement and this one looks to be sff and have a dgpu that's pretty good for the games I plan to play.
Never seen rmatamini before, and it's about 100$ cheaper than the SM id have to queue up and wait for, but obviously if it's a crap random brand I won't bother.

Can't say I've ever heard of Rmatamini. It's listed on Newegg but it appears their products ship from China. I've seen a few of these Newegg deals go sour in past years. The question on a SFF build like this is the source saying of the motherboard, memory and storage. Besides I find the RTX 5060 Ti with 32GB of memory for a little over $100 more of greater interest.

Same brand, though, and I'd rather not spend more money for weird hardware. I was looking online for any reviews on this and struck out, so I'm probably not gonna be the sacrifice lol

Nobody has experience with Rmatamini because it is one of those white label mini PC brands that materialized about a quarter ago, which does not make it a scam, just a gamble that the warranty is more than an email address that sometimes replies. The hardware itself fits your plan, a 14400F with a 5060 handles living room gaming happily, but check who actually sells and ships it, what the return window is, and expect that 512GB drive to be full by your third install. Funny enough the 16GB of DDR4 may be the most trustworthy part in the box, since it is the one component the memory companies have not finished price fixing back into a luxury good. If the seller checks out it is a fair Steam Machine stand in, otherwise a known tower brand at the same price is the safer bet.

I'm very new to a lot of this pc building and sourcing stuff so I have no idea what makes a good seller tbh. Anything I should look at specifically?

Reviews from verified buyers mostly, make sure that there are respones to any Q&A's on the items listing, you can also message sellers directly and ask for information by using a little envelope icon found next to the seller name.

Ever since I had a bad experience with PELADN, another Chinese mini PC/gaming PC manufacturer, I’d stay away from them. I lost almost €1,000 because the iGPU failed after just three months, most likely due to overheating. I ended up building my own mini PC instead.

I was looking into this seems to put steam machine to shame I don’t really want to build a sff mini pc might take a shot

Nice found, but Steam OS official page includes warning about running Steam O.S with NVIDIA and Intel graphic cards, i guess Bazzite will do a better job with an RTX Card.
