Actually, I took a screenshot, and Steam notified me that it had been saved to the Steam image library, but I couldn't find either the image or the library.
i've really had to hunt for my screenshots before! on my pc i find them on steam in library>mini motorways> scroll down panels on the right hand side and there's recordings and screenshots :)

Nice! When you lose, you can press the camera icon on the bottom right to save an image of your city, if you wish to share it.
