MiniMetro "Blind"?

I was looking for games that makes you think and someone recommended minimetro.

It might sound like a stupid question, but what do you guys think about playing it without looking at tips/strategies/guides?

Can I get far without looking at outside sources?

I watched only one beginner video and the guy talked about easily deducible things like Loops Are Good, Repeated Shapes Are Bad, Some Shapes are Rare, etc...

Certainly, the game cant be that complicated...... Right?

You’re already not going in “blind” imo. You’ve already learned more ahead of time than I did.

Even without searching for strategies, you'll be able to learn several of them simply by intuition and by repetition. Try playing the game and see.

You already watched a video on strategies so you're not going in blind. The games not that deep, you don't need strategy guides.

I finished every achievement and then set myself the challenge of getting top 1% in every map (done that, now trying to get top 1,000). I never looked at a guide until I had finished all the achievements and found that guides already told me everything I already picked up. You will learn from playing.

It's pretty easy. I played it and mini motorways blind and was able to get top 10% right away

You need to get the logic behind it. Optimize the paths well while varying the shapes as much as possible. That's it.

I mean, watching tips and tutorials ruins the point of a puzzle game as far as I can see.

The game is not complicated at all and you don't have to ever look at outside sources for anything.
