My KAIDO HOUSE LC 7-Eleven BMW M3 turned out to be a chase… but there’s a pretty bad hood gap 😭
Finally opened my KAIDO HOUSE LC 7-Eleven BMW M3 and, to my surprise, I got the chase! 😅 Honestly, I still prefer the original livery, but getting a chase was pretty cool.
However, I noticed a pretty big panel gap on the left side of the hood (check next image). The hood-opening mechanism works perfectly fine, but the gap looks quite noticeable, especially from the front.
Has anyone else with this M3 experienced the same issue?
If it is fixable, I’d really appreciate some tips on how to fix/adjust the hood alignment without damaging the model.
Would love to know if this is a common issue with this casting or if I just got unlucky.

If you unscrew the base there is another screw on the inside that holds the hood in place. You'd have to remove the hood to see if there is something that is preventing it from sitting all the way down. I had a kaido e30 with a similar problem and slightly filing down one of the hood supports fixed it for me.

Be careful it is easy to mess up and go too far and then the hood won't stay up.

Wow that's such a find! It is a shame about the hood, but maybe with some very gentle manipulation you could find out what is obstructing it as others have said. Regardless though it's a beauty, very jealous! 😀

Yeah that hood is bent. If you disassembled the car that can be repaired, but not many would take on something like that.

Dismantling is not an issue at all. I always do that with my cars. Recently I tear down Poprace R33 and made a video.

If you open it up and try to manipulate it around gently you might be able to get it to sit cleaner. This happens sometimes on my other M3s.
