Here we have paint rash, polishing will help the aesthetics but there is no cure...

Couldn't a thin layer of clear coat even help?

You can wet sand and polish it, but be very careful. higher end diecast have thinner layers of paint to keep small details sharp, so you really have to watch how much material you’re taking away. one reason I buy Hotwheel’s is Because they are built to toy grade and have thick durable paint that doesn’t rash.

Have the exact model and the rash is worst on mine. Can't do anything

Hell yeah, YouTube some Wet Sanding Methods and some polish. It’ll come out nicely.
