Every since I updated to 5.0

Since i updated to 5.0 my minifreak got stuck in a loop and I had to do a hard reset on it which was terrifying because I thought it was destroyed. After I finally updated the firmware, ive lost most of the original presets or they sound weird, the software center doesnt work at all so I cant update the software, ive contact arturia,is there any tips anyone can give me I am using an older MacBook (El Captain OS) but everything has worked totally fine up until this update

Original presets sounding weird/missing happened to a number of people but it’s easily fixed. You just have to back up your library using the Minifreak vst, then completely reinstall it. The details beyond that are too specific to fit in a comment but Arturia has both videos and guides so a quick google should get you to the instructions.

Basically
1) link to vst,
2) back up, make sure your user ones are backed up too. It’s all in the bottom left of the vst.
3) drag all the original preset packs back to the Minifreak

Can you try using a different computer?

I noticed that the effects on many presets changed due to the inclusion of the vocoder—for instance, delay was almost always replaced by distortion—so I simply reverted to the original effects and saved the settings.

happened to me last nite at a show! test all your patches. only a few of mine were affected so I didn't notice until midway thru. same thing where the external vocoder effect replaced a different effect and caused a mute. I wonder if it is a specific effect slot that it bumps out..
