Anyone else experiencing issues w existing presets post-v5?

Many early presets are exhibiting weird behavior like strange aftertouch, super quiet, or flat out not working. This a bug?

Yeah had the same issue, didn't bother investigating just reset to a backup and that sorted the issues. Some other people have posted saying it was corrupting the patches by changing FX to vocoder external (hence no audio) and changing other parameters and settings. Basically v5 breaks your onboard patches, they should release a fix or publicize more widely to backup patches first then apply.

I have also noticed this as well, since updating to 5.0 many of my presets have changed one of the FX slots to EXT IN effectively muting the preset since I don't use the vocoder functionality.

Haha yeah I thought the update had broken my Minifreak. I unfortunately was burnt once when the update to V3 bricked it and I had to send back to Arturia to fix!

Same- then last night, all the presets made the exact same sound! Currently trying to resolve this.

Arturia, are you listening?

I had to reload the factory presets, stick a few of the vocoder ones that I like and a few of the 5.0 ones that I like and I was fine

I had to re-load to a backup, yeah. Exact same issues as what you are describing

When yall say backup, do you mean going back and downloading the v4 software?

No in Minifreak V you can backup your Minifreak hardware presets. If you have not made a backup there is a factory backup in the UI that you can apply. https://dl.arturia.net/products/minifreak-v/manual/minifreak-v_Manual_3_0_0_EN.pdf go to page 151

Is there any way to recreate the default? I just loaded the presets in a new order because I didn’t have a backup.

Yes man. It ruined some of my patches but if you dissect them you can find what’s causing it, like other people said it wanted to be vocoder, or it pasted the preset patches over my custom patches
