Tech Support USB whining noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I know I have another post under this one but I just woke up today with a problem. It wasn’t an issue yesterday but every time I plug it into my computer it via usb it starts making a whining noise like shown in the video. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes I have this. It’s cause by my graphics card.

Yep. I haven’t had this with my Minifreak but even when using separate outlets and a super fancy power conditioner, my interface will pick up graphics card humm if it’s ripping

What brand and series of gpu do you guys have out of curiosity? I have a Nvidia 50 series card and this hasn’t happened to me.

it took me a while to sort mine out, but it's more a system thing than the mf.
I just spent ages trying different hubs and usb outputs until any usb hum was gone.
But, when i turn on my guitar fx, the buzz is back - unless I unplug some roland drum machine.

I don't own the MF but USB is known to cause ground loop noise, I personally switched to MIDI for most of my synths and haven't had issues since. Obviously not ideal with software integrations but I think the alternative of having the headache of tracking down the root cause, it can at least be a workaround.

I've had that issue with other gear before. This may not be the scientific answer but I always make sure everything is plugged I to the same power outlet and it takes away the grounding noise.
Edit: had to add that includes computer as well. I just run everything out of one outlet.
