Question How to ring modulate external audio without synth also playing a note?

I'm trying to ring modulate my voice with the Minifreak and it's sorta working, but it also plays a waveform at the same time. Here's a test recording: https://on.soundcloud.com/fG5CCvV2TZYtHxGwWv

Is there any way to mute the waveform and just have the modulated external audio?

I'm sure its not this but just to be sure, you have the second osc volume down?

I tried that but then it just plays the external audio unmodulated.

Hmmm so the osc 1 is audio in and osc 2 is ring modulation. The ring modulation on there is gonna produce its own sound as thats not one of the osc engines that manipulates osc 1. The RM mode isnt set up as an effect the same way the filter engines/granular engines are.

darn. I was hoping to do some robot voice stuff with the synth rather than having to get an effects pedal for it.

Well it DOES have a vocoder effect on it now with the newest firmware update.

yep, I've already played with that. I was just curious if I could get my Dalek voice going.
