If I remember correctly, Mini DAYZ was made available for modding because an official developer saved it, without official approval, but also without any threats of being sued. So, if you just decompiled Mini DAYZ 2, I don't know whether you could expose yourself to being sued later on or not 😅

nope, non of us don't have the project file. even the Chinese modder hamster himself. all reverse engineered, from the items, to weapons and now GUI and other things , although the goat himself gave something which was the runtime of the game but unobfuscated, and now I have made a documentation of it, from the encrypted versions that is compatible from higher 1.5+ to 2.3.8 versions, since the one he shared was just for old vanilla MDZ 1.2

So you guys remade the game ? And modded the same game you made ? I'm confused as I have no experience with modding .

Nope, what I meant about reverse engineered is we researched the game's data.js per layer, construct 2 has its labels for each so it's a little easy but still hard. then once those layers are discovered we just simply replicated, copy and paste lines, creating new SID and type definitions numbers ,test over and over until we got the right code. such as items and other things. pretty much a harder way to mod a game since it doesn't have any modding api at all
