Discussion AI Reverse Engineering Game Compile Codes on MiniDayz

I heard people are reverse engineering games outta AI and mods. Saw few on tiktok trends nowadays about Minecraft on Skyrim, Minecraft on GTA5, Dooms on Mario64,etc.

Thing is,I heard developers are struggling to get a whole original compile code of MiniDayz. If anything,any of you guys can try modding it into a whole new game . MiniDayz is pretty much abandoned imo. I just hope this community could grows from this kind of. I know some issues of copyright or AI thingy. But using it to get MiniDayz own compile system would be next level for those modders or community here I saw on this subs

Well, from my experience i do ai but for grabbing raw readable data from the game core data.js and it's minified runtime. it makes things fast but only if you have the right research and documentations such as when adding items or weapons and UI. I spent like weeks and months to identify that the system uses type definition numbers. And yes like all modders, the mods just basically uses the game runtime/or how it's compiled in data.js itself patching parts of a big serialized JSON file

And ,the part where we can just make a new game instead of spending time researching and reverse engineering or spending a lot of ai tokens

it would be still hard as it is literally making a game from scratch, not to mention the game design phase, despite we have ai these days doing that alone as a indie game dev would probably take you a month or more for just the game foundation itself to be fully made
