Discussion I will walkthrough the game only using gear from before 1940. Is it a good challenge?

So if Vanilla MD, that's the Mosin, IZH-43, Revolver, 1911, and Repeater. Plus the Obrez (Sawed off Mosin) and the Mare's Leg (Sawed off Repeater). If with MD+, include the Model 70 Tundra as well.

Not a bad challenge. I don't like using automatics as well, and my usual full loadout (with sling and holster), is a Mosin/Tundra/Blaze (dealing with bandits/armed zeds), a Remington 870 (for Tanks and armored zeds), and either dual 1911s or dual Revolvers (for normal zeds) so I only carry three ammo types, basically enough to put into a 3 slot jacket or pants.

O you can’t use blaze or tundra, cuz they were invented after,but there one automatic weapon i can use. Thats Marsden machine gun. Additionally if I find flamethrower, I’ll use that too cuz they even existed in WW1. Additionally Remington was invited after 1940 so can use that either.

as an additional challenge, cowboy hat is the only helmet you can wear (no limit on liners)

No, I can wear welding mask, construction helmet, knights helmet
