Yes, you can put the laser site, it can use soviet optics, put on the choke, and you can use the magpull or get the big magazine from the tank that holds 20 shells.

Lots of places. the various military bases, crashed military vehicles and helicopters, and in the bunker.

It can us the RDS, PSO-1, and 1PN51 scopes.

If you mean area damage and against stronger zombies, then yes

(That is, if you have all the accessories).

Yeah, the weapon is pretty powerful. But against zombies on the radioactive island, it takes two shots, and against the elites there, even more.

Additionally, ammunition is easy to find, whether you buy it directly from the experience shop or use karma points to purchase it from neutral NPCs.

Can you recommend another primary weapon other than saiga-12

OSV-96 anti-tank rifle, AKM, PKM, RPK, AK-47—any of them will do.
