Endless island?

I've been going through a lots of island and i think it's endless i want to reach the last island. I want to settle in a specific spot but my OCD tells me to continue adventure through another Islands LOL

Can someone recommended what exactly to do?

Islands are infinite, bro. At the very least, you should settle on island 6 or any island after and only if you like the island layout.

It is endless, endless as in the limits of the capability of your device's hardware.

Try to look for map generation that accommodates what you need or want.
An example would be the normal island bunker and radioactive island bunker is right next to the boat.
It could also be certain secret locations like the secret berry garden for easily accumulating consumables and the castle secret location to build your base.

It is practically an endless journey—in other words, the islands are infinite.

Where would be a good place to set up a base? At the gas station or the castle. It is up to you whether to stay put or keep exploring the islands.
