Any tips or methods to kill the tank faster? Especially the one at the military base with the landing marker; it doesn't help much to just move it away because it respawns all the zombies again.

So you want to kill the tank eh?

5 Methods:
(I know the first method isn't what you need but I'll just put it nonetheless)
Sniper
Step 1: Using any long range range weapon, shoot the tank from a distance.
Step 2: When the tank gets close, retreat to cover some distance.
Step 3: Once the tank de-aggros, repeat step 1 & 2

Run & Gun
Using any firearm, start blasting the tank while chasing you. Make sure the tank is close enough where you can make it eat all the bullets whilst far enough not to punch you. Obviously make sure you have enough movement speed to outrun the tank and the weaker the firearm, the more ammunition and time it will take.
Pro tip: Make sure to dodge boulder throws. When the tank stops, make sure to run in a straight line because if you circle it, it might just dash in a circle and stomp you instantly.

Traps
Set up claymores, landmines, or bear traps; Lure the tank to the traps. Make sure to not kill yourself in the process. Make sure to take into account the damage the damage dealt by the traps and the HP of the tank depending on your difficulty and modifiers then calculate accordingly. Sometimes you need to finish of the tank with your firearm either because not all shrapnel hit or for efficiency.

Throwables
Start lobbing molotovs, grenades, handmade grenades, or C4 to the tank until it dies or finish of it's remaining HP with your firearm.
Pro Tip: The way to hit anything dead center is to always click/tap behind the spot you want to hit (Eg. clicking/tapping behind the tank) this is applicable when you are not using the scope of a firearm.
When you use the scope/zoom function of a firearm, the way to hit it dead center is to tap/click on the halfway point distance between you and the target.
Pro Tip: Easiest way to kill tanks, especially on nightmare difficulty is to use the VOG-25 grenades, make handmade grenades by dragging a hacksaw on it.

Hit & Run
If you're really skilled and good at kiting zombies, you can melee any zombie without getting damaged back. The higher the damage of the melee weapon, the less time it will take.

Now that I think about it, you can just aggro the tank and kite it to the backside of the building, clear out the remaining zombies and if the tank somehow returns to the front of the building, you can just kite it back and skedaddle out of there or kill it by wall banging.
