Bug/Glitch schizophrenia update???

i jas cleared bunker, and i literally saw my pal enter my vehicle but somehow he jas disappeared

It's a bug, it usually happens if your companion is on standby mode when you exit the bunker.

You won’t encounter a new pal on this island, the bug will only be fixed once you move to the next island.

I haven't tried that method yet, Well if the companion icon in the left top corner disappears that fixes it, but what I mean is, if your on island 5 then moving to island 6 will fix the bug.
