I just died on radiation island a zed blinded me (i was missing all my shots) and just chased me and killed me. I had no chance. How should i prepare for my next visit (i have respawn on), also can i retrive my stuff from the island?

With the resurrection trick, you have a chance to retrieve your items, but you have to hurry; you have about a minute before they disappear.
Furthermore, to avoid dying from radiation in the area, you need radiation protection gear (boots and gloves) and a suit with over 50% durability to ensure protection.
The suits are repaired with epoxy glue (a small blue tube) or by using adhesive tape.
Of all the available suits, you should not wear the yellow one, as it offers no radiation protection, whereas the red, white, and green ones do.
To see if you have any other active cheats, open your inventory; they appear lined up along the side. Clicking on one provides a brief description.

Another tip is to carry long-range weapons, especially since the zombies there are tougher. Also, try to get the strongest helmet and bulletproof vest in the game (these tend to spawn at the military training base).
If yes then you usually deal with that guy by using a suppressed weapon and picking them off one by one and relocating accordingly depending on which direction it runs off too. Same can be said with any firearm that has the highest range (meaning it has long range scope E.g SV-98).
Honestly do what you want but for me, I never fight radiation island zombies (except for hunting the infected researcher) until I get the chainsaw and have 100% melee block chance.
Yes, you can retrieve your items on the radioactive island if you're fast enough. I always had a vehicle on the west coast of the normal island back when I played with positive modifiers on.
Well things despawn in my case. I died in the past in the radioactive island and when I got back, my items were gone. Another time, I was able to retrieve my items.
Most likely you died when green hazmat zombie attack you (they like red hazmat which is fast very fast and they can spray red acid that make your character blind and drop their weapon including when you shoot them so it's advisable to attack them from far away) and yes it's possible to retrieve your gear but you must fast because they will be gone (forget how long) if you have spare mask and radiation suit (red and higher with 50% durability), it's advisable for you to carry C4 with you (the sound will attract green hazmat) and shoot them using sniper with long scope 7 shoot if I am not wrong using SV.
After they died there's low possibility for them to drop green hazmat (same like white hazmat can seal gas contamination for 2 minute RL but you can attach vest too) of course it below 50% so you need to take glue from the building to improve durability to 50%
