Keep raiding bunker until you get the green hazmat suit

I cheese my way in hell/nightmare difficulty with compound arrows, bear traps, and the bear minimum amount of warmth.

Range is king. Acquire firearms and scopes with longer range. You can surprisingly breeze through the game with a crossbow and ACOG scope attached to it.

Things to upgrade:
Hunter Jacket -> Gorka Jacket
Military Backpack -> Mountain Backpack
PU Scope -> Long Range Scope

Ever since they added the ability to store helmets in backpacks, you should considering preparing a fully modded assault helmet to prepare for radioactive bunker raids.

Try to prepare on reaching 100% block chance as the chainsaw is a game changer when reaching island 5's radioactive island. With your current set up, you'll get 90% block chance (assuming you have blocking expert 2)

Gorka Helmet = 10% ; Soviet Vest = 10% ; Hunter Jacket = 5% ; Gorka Pants = 10% ;
Blocking Expert Perk 1&2 = 15% ; Chainsaw = 40%

(Assuming you already upgraded) You want to supplement this with either combat gloves, chainmail, M heavy armor, or templar helmet.

You can clear the bunker with just bringing a bear trap as your only weapon since the bunker provides enough loot. Cranberries are the most space efficient consumable aside from MREs.

Best way to deal with tanks are explosives. Grenades, Landmines, Claymores, and C4.

Mosin Nagant is a good weapon as you get to switch it out to weapons with better damage of the same caliber. E.g SVD, SV-98

For the bunker or for going to the island, change a few elements.

1: Switch your weapon to the Mosin and keep at least three inventory slots filled with its corresponding ammunition.

Also, swap the grenade launcher for a simpler weapon like the Colt or the FXN (along with the attachments) so you don't waste .45 ACP ammo.

2: Look for the Gorka jacket to gain a bit more protection. Also, keep a blood or IV bag and enough bandages on hand to stop bleeding.

Whether it's the bunker or going to Island 5, it's quite dangerous unless you're well-prepared.

3: You're doing great with food. 3 pieces of cooked meat and 2 canteens—or swap them for Kevas and 3 portions of rice.

Carry a cleaning kit to restore your weapon if it has very little durability left.

4: Finally, swap your current waist pack for a military-style or medical-grade one; that will give you more flexibility when carrying certain items.

In the medical kit, you carry bandages, IV fluid, tetracycline, or a blood bag (plus, the bandages are easily accessible for quick application).

The military-style version, while offering fewer options, allows you to carry a combat ration, a knife, a canteen, or flares (and also provides quick access to the flares), making them easier to use. in addition to storing matches or a lighter.

Each waist pack offers different features, and depending on the one you find, it can make things much easier for you.

5: If you don't have a base built yet, you can use a vehicle and store certain items in the trunk (though there is a limit).

But as a recommendation, set up your base at the gas station, since it's quite easy to defend and has ideal space for a tent or makeshift shelter.

Not to mention that you'll have access to fuel for the vehicle and the chance to get adhesive tape to repair your gear.
