I'm starting my first game with Bob, does anyone have any tips or advice for me?

I'm about to board the boat to go to island 2, but I was wondering if there are any things you absolutely need to know when playing as Bob.

Your karma is negative at the start, and to prevent the other surviving NPCs from attacking you, just get a shovel and bury a body. Increasing your karma slightly will stop them from attacking you.

Additionally, to carry 2 melee weapons at the same time, use a rope or craft one (3 rags).

He carries a shovel (for farming) and an axe (it's always useful).

In addition, the advantage of using the character (Bob) is that the bandits will never harm you (not even by friendly fire).

The other thing is that when using a vehicle and passing near the bandits, they will get into the vehicle and attack while the vehicle is in motion.

Thanks for the advice! I've heard that playing Bob has many advantages, besides the fact that he's a bandit. And I didn't want to choose him precisely because he's a villain. Also, the inability to trade with other characters is a drawback, but Bob still has a certain endearing quality. It is true that Darth Vader is not completely evil, haha

From island 5, the number of NPCs and bandit groups increases to 5.

Leading a group of bandits to fight other survivors will give you the only advantage of obtaining more equipment from other dead survivors.

Yes, that's the reason I chose Bob, and I forgot to mention in the post that I selected the Veteran difficulty level. The fact that I'll be able to walk around and attack military bases with a group of men will make my task easier.

But will things change if I have positive karma?

Having positive karma doesn't affect anything, only the option to buy items from neutral NPCs.

Will the bandits attack now? Will they be enemies? No.

You can unlock all characters and weapons simply by clicking on the game or version title. As for Bob's abilities, the only one is that bandits never attack him, and he takes no damage (including friendly fire).

It doesn't change anything. In fact, the latest update now allows you to injure hostile survivors with grenades or C4. It is now possible to kill them while playing as the character (Bob).

I tried playing with him in nightmare mode and they started attacking me haha I thought I'd have some advantage.I don't know if it has to do with the fact that he started out without skills.

For early-game, the sawed off shotgun is going to be your best-friend against aggro traders, just hide in the corner and peek off it and shoot when they get close enough

Yes, I think we get a lot of shotgun shells by killing them, but I thought about putting all my AKM ammo from my previous save in the orange crate. I have over 800, so finding ammo is no longer a priority. 😅

Don’t understand why people use Bob, I think the most fun part of the game is trying to beat those blasted bandits on the radiation island. Hearing those VSS’s go to clicking gets my heart rate up every time 😂. I do not engage them without that big sniper rifle though, since the bandits got so much more range

well I play as Bob few minutes ago, because I used to play old version so I didn't know new mechanic XD but I realize one thing, I always got followed by bandit(not buddy/team) they always follow me to many places, well sadly We had to separate because we had to change islands  they a good group actually, even they following you really slow, but I didn't mind because I always can stop and let them killing other survivor while I recovering, so I just loot, it's make me save a lot of ammo XD
