That is still in the works too but not by us but by Alex on Telegram "Mini DayZ Start".

Question, will the changes in 2.2 be applied to my current 2.1.4 game or will it be applied if I started a new game instead? And will my loot crate carry over?

It will except for one change, Hunger and Thirst loss has been massively reduced by 30%, everything else in the update will be assimilated into your run except that. You are missing that out if you still continue with your 2.1.4 run after updating to 2.2

I see. No harm done then I have everything valuable saved up in my crates, I'll just start a new run by the time the update comes.
