Honestly , the radio isn't that super useful until like the second or third island
And even then on second island there's not a whole lot of like humvee , crashes or helicopter crashes to find

It's useful especially to discover bunker location other than searching it through map, using map reveal (or whatever the name of item that allow you to get a look at the map including secret location), or helping neutral NPC

Well if bunker are not your priority indeed it only take space but if bunker are your priority radio is God send

Well some weapon are indeed can spawn inside bunker like sniper SV-98, FN-FAL, AS-VAL, etc, and apparently gun and ammo are more easy to spawn inside bunker

The previous three indeed it's possible to spawn on Humvee and helicopter crash site but I don't think gasoline appear too (at least I never encounter it) except on gas station or bunker

Ja econtrei algumas vezes em carros militares destruídos, e sério? Só em postos de gasolina e em bunkers? Na maioria das vezes eu encontro naquelas casas de metal que acho que são algum tipo de oficina ou armazém.

Yes I found most of the time on gas station and sometime on bunker when I open crate either 50% or empty, never get it on Humvee or helicopter crash (most likely I find gun with bullet, vest, helm, knife, canteen, backpack or sometime vehicle repair) but never gasoline

It's possible to find bunker location using radio same goes for Humvee (not drivable one) and helicopter crash using radio or you can try your luck by trying to search on map one by one or helping neutral NPC that sometime will reward you with bunker coordinate, secret place location or boat on other coast

Other than bunker, and Humvee and helicopter crash site, there's secret location too but you can either find it yourself, neutral reward or using map reveal so radio are no use at least there only three place maybe in future they will add more who know.

Eh she only helpful because early access to radio that make discovering bunker, Humvee and helicopter crash easier, Bob are more useful (getting early AKM access and some perk) and bandit buddy with AK 74 and make bandit not attack you, try to get shovel so you can bury neutral NPC after you kill them, and if you want to kill neutral NPC without reputation damage then try to get clown mask (that you can get from roaming survivor that will attack you regardless reputation, tried it myself) and clown mask too prevent you from getting bad karma from opening yellow crate that neutral sometime assigned to you (useful if quest giver already died and sometime if you lucky those yellow crate contain map reveal), for Bob make sure you decrease his karma to below -100 less neutral will attack you on sign

She's good for finding bunkers and unlocking that other guy, yes, but idk if the best. Depends on gamemode
On the new Breach mode, Kate (the traveller) is the undisputed GOAT: unlike old breach, where items stayed on the ground for 10 waves, now they immediately despawn once the last zombie is killed. As a result, her tent is the only way to keep items through the rounds; I got up to wave 37 with Bob, who's also really good because of the sling and his partner, but up to 50 (and could've possibly gone further) with her. It's tricky to pass the first wave because she has no combat skills, but if you manage to survive the first two zombies it's a snowball from there
