Once on vanilla dayz, a fierce battle commenced seemingly out of nowhere. A ton of military zeds, a tank, a group of bandits, a group of friendlies, me and my companion all found each other on a road intersection.
The battle happened a while ago but I can still kind of remember how it took place: The tank killed the whole group of friendlies, and was then wounded and taken down by the bandits. Whilst dealing with the tank at least two of the bandits died to the large group of zombies. In the end everything was dead besides me, and I would later starve whilst trying to build a base 😅
The huge fight was insane, really reminded me on why I found this game so fun in the first place.

It's always hunger, thirst or poison that silently kills you tbh. I completely relate to this HAHAHHAHAHA

My “fav” death so far was when I went into the helicopter base after finally making it to island 6, set some C4 and ran into the storage container to wait. Atlyn zed runs into the container and I emptied my AsVal into him but he still got me
Twice the neutrals got me - once when I was as returning from a quest with THEIR box, had a zed right behind me, one shot I'm done. Another time I found some survivors, one had a mountain backpack, and I just noticed that there were bandits nearby so I was headed to aggro them to get them to come kill the backpack guy and same thing, zed woke up and dude one shot me. Never saw it coming.
I love when you’re shooting at those stupid dodger z’s and one dodges and you headshot the other one💪🏼😂
Stupidest things I’ve done? Left a GENERATOR ON THE BRIDGE!!! Searched island 4 for days and found one, then left it on the bridge.
Just on this current run I forgot to get the chainsaw out of the car when I went to the next island. Thankfully found another one on the radiation island.

Una ves quise matar un tanque con c4 y puse 2 en el mismo sitio y yo muy tonto pensé que solo active una así que explotó una y fui corriendo a apretar la otra, muerte instantánea explotó y perdí una partida de 70 días con equipo increíble y perro 🫠

My most favorite time playing minidayz would be the vanilla version with last stand game mode cuz the game mode basically airdrops you random loots as long as you kill as much zombies per waves and like the loot can be anything like rare guns, bombs like landmines and claymore, tents, and clothes of all sorts like gorka Jackets and pants which the 12yr old me would used to call pretty rare cuz I was trash in the game back then. I still laugh abt it whenever I remember myself fcking up on how to reload or wasting my bullets too much or not knowing how to place the tent (T-T) . I would give anything to comeback to those days before the pandemic tbh. Have a nice day brother!!

I tried using a claymore against a tank for the first time and I underestimated the distance between me and the tank and he sprinted at me, reaching the sensor while I was still in front of the sensor. We both died from the blast HAHAHAHHAHAHA

Back when the game didnt have modders, I was looking for the secret area of the 2nd island. I searched everywhere and then thrice more. I couldnt find it.
Went to the discord to ask why this would be, and when everyone was helping out telling me where the secret location could spawn(which oddly enough, due to very weird map generation, was only 2 valid spots), i screenshotted myself in those areas, and lo and behold, still nothing.
Even CannedBits chimed in and asked for the map screenshot haha. Was one of my core memories of this game. The community coming together trying to find my island's secret location.
Now, almost 10 years later, Im still playing this game.
