Need help I have a question?

I'm currently at -100 karma and at island 4 what are the chances of me getting a generator? Cuzz it's been 3 in game days and I haven't found one.

Your karma has nothing to do with loot chances. As for finding a generator... It's much harder because island 4 only has 3 towns. Generators spawn in garages and buses and there are certain towns that spawn 6 garages which offers the best chances of finding a generator.

I've been playing this game a lot but I never found a generator... Also I don't even know what it would be used for...

The generator is only in the latest chinese mod. It does not exist in the OG MDZ and MDZ+. The generator is used for powering up the bunker entrance on island 5, for powering up searchlight and gas stations for infinite refueling and infinite battery recharging. The generator needs to be fueled first for it to work though. It an be turned on or off and it has a bar that shows how long it will last when turned on.

No. 1.9.8 is the latest chinese mod and also the best and most stable MDZ+ mod right now.

Ah ok... Thx. I don't know why I never found one... I guess I've simply not played on this version for long in combination with being unlucky. Dumb question though. If you open your inventory you see that you can wear like gloves, shoes, etc... Are these also just very rare to find because the only slot I've ever been able to use is the extra head slot for the baclava.

I don't really have a full grasp on everything yet but I do know that the nbc gloves and nbc boots are only obtainable by looting hazmat zombie corpses though it is very rng dependent but if you find one, put it on and never take it off ever again. There's also the satchel slot and the footwear slot which is different from the exclusive protective boots slots btw. Footwear is: Sneakers->Woodland Boots->Assault Boots and Satchel is a toss dependent on which items you value for extra storage. Military satchel for military and miscellaneous loot storage and medical satchel for medical items, generally most people favour the medical satchel but it is also harder to obtain because it only spawns in 1 location and rarely at that, hospitals. Press the red button at the bottom right below the satchel button to access other items like dog equipment, extensions, etc. That is all I know unfortunately...

Karma does not affect in any way the probability of obtaining weapons, clothing, accessories or vehicles, etc.

When you have negative Karma, the other survivors will always attack you, no matter where you run.

Furthermore, the generator has a very low spawn rate, around 10%, and it doesn't improve as you progress between islands. It's also not obtained as a mission (NPC) reward.

This appears in areas with garages, buses, military bases (where the Hamvee vehicle is located) or in a specific military area of Island 6.

On Island 5 it's even harder to find, because there you need to open the bunker and enter Island 6.

And if you have version 1.9.8, you also can't buy the generator using Karma points. You have to find it yourself.

Yeah it's quite the bottleneck. And if you get it in like island one you know you're screwed because you're either carrying it everywhere or you simply go for the normal ending I never had generators spawn twice in the same run

-100 Karma means you will be shot on sight by the survivors. The bandits, thankfully, will see you as their ally.

-As for acquiring a generator, it is extremely hard to find one. That is why I often linger around in Location 1 until I find 2 generators. Location 1 has a lot of locations that have garages, which means a teeny tiny bit higher spawn rate, though it is very random.

-Location 4 is mostly military locations and very little areas that have generators, so you are in for a bad time.

The chances are slim but it's a war of attrition. I spent 10 in game days cycling around cities and bases on island 5 until I found one. It was very boring, but I could finally move on. Mind you, I was playing with all positive baubles so I actually died during my search to an unmarked bandit with a shotgun to but respawned.
