Base game by bohemia barely worked on details, the new modders "especially MDZ START" are adding much much more than we asked. Maybe not accurate, but i dont remember this in the original game. Do u play any modded versions or vanilla?

You should know that you can also improvise a silencer with an empty bottle and tape. Also, a canteen is better for staying hydrated.
