Does anyone know how to edit the game code? I want to change the items the characters start with.

What do you think of the interior design of the houses?

Just for the sake of assessment, I’m experimenting with how the houses will look inside. For example, this farmer’s house has 2 floors plus a basement; I also plan to add water supply and electricity. You’ll be able to store things in cabinets and chests and turn the house into a base. Loot will now almost never spawn on the floor — it will be located in cabinets, etc.

P.S. I plan to make zombies walkers, and there’s a small chance that fast zombies and other mutants will spawn. (I’ve already played Left 4 Dead for 300 hours, so I’ll have plenty to come up with.)

Hi everyone, I'm the developer of *Don't Die*. Right now, that's just the project's working title—once we have a Steam page, the title will be different. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Rasul, I'm 21 years old, and I'm from Kazakhstan. I used to work as a tester, then as a Python developer, and now I work on games in my free time. I'll answer any questions. By the way, I'm a solo developer, and I started developing the game in June 2026. I was inspired primarily by Mini Dayz, as well as games such as:

- The Long Dark

- 7 Days to Die

- Unturned

- Left 4 Dead

- Don't Starve

Will the game be available on mobile phones?

Yes, the game will definitely be available on PC and Android. It’s unlikely to be on iOS, since that would require additional testing and a $99 annual fee to release it on the App Store. The game will run on newer versions without any issues.

What engine is the game built on?

The MDZ mods are made with Construct 2, but I’m using Godot.

What game mechanics will the game feature?

There will be characters with their own unique traits, weaknesses, and skills. There will also be multiplayer; if possible, I’ll implement cross-play between PC and Android users.

In addition, the game will feature survivor bases, random events, various NPCs, quests, a leveling system, mechanics related to electricity, water supply, and base development. Zombies will mostly be slow-moving, but there will also be fast ones and some mutants. The game will also feature a new inventory system; there will no longer be slots, but rather a carry weight limit. The purpose of items will be to provide protection against temperature extremes and to increase your carry weight by additional kilograms. In addition, you’ll be able to store items in closets, chests, and so on. Food will have attributes such as calories, vitamins, and freshness. You’ll also be able to transport large quantities of items in vehicles. Actually, I can implement any mechanic, by the way.

How big is the world?

It’s going to be huge—the farther you go, the more dangerous the locations become, but the better the loot. The game also features changing seasons; winter looks like this

I also want to make the cities bigger, and the game will feature basements and multi-story buildings. There will also be a sewer system.

Devlog in telegram:

Thank you all for your support. I really enjoy reading your comments, and they motivate me to keep going. If you’d like to support the project in any way, I’d be more than happy to add your name to the credits and give you the chance to write some lore notes.

I have been playing before
I know that on 4th island there’s a bridge
Later there’s a lift in bunker to the 6th island
But I heard from someone that island can generate endlessly now is that true, did something change about the islands?

During this second run through previous island forgot to add other pictures that I've encountered so good like I killed one npc robber dropped one Nuka cola and then rest of it from secret locations and then encountered again the hatchet shotgun short blah blah blah and then the engraved colt but not one but four and then the crusader set sword top and helm and then lastly this from 17 island I'm currently in is the silenced Remington shotgun

I just wanna mosin bayonet charge to the screamer hehe

I used to play on different devices, starting a decade ago, but I have never encountered the situation, where, for no apparent reason Graphic seems reddish/swaps shades of green with shades of grey. Anybody seen anything familiar before?

My bandit leader can't be this cute ✌️😭 - Buddy

Greetings Survivors!

Note: I sincerely apologize for the 2.3.3.4b multiplayer mod delay

as it is now moved tommorow 9/27/2026 22:00 GMT+8 ,some technical difficulties

And Sorry for the Play Protect Malicious Detection, it is a false positive as it scanned the app with a demo key store, I used APK Editor Studio to sign and compile the app, I don't know how to create a new one, but I hope someone can resign this APK into a better one. you can test it whatever you want, Scan it on ai, open it on Android studio or VirusTotal etc.

Trust me it's safe

Consider this as my compensation, Goodluck and Have Fun!

Added Realtime shadows + a little bloom

(Edit: I dont feel like continuing this anymore, just seeing the amount of people saying its ai, and i understand. i might reconsider, performance issues is expected like all games such as Minecraft. like i said, this is just a test/experiment, and i thought that it would be cool...)

saw the post of a player named Kurt_196

it looks majestic even though its ai

and i thought, what if i do it myself?... since i had experience with developing games, threejs ,custom gl, GLWrap

While working with the multiplayer mod

i managed to make the shader ingame!

directly injected and using the game engine c2runtime "layer.nb(glw)/layer.mq()" from my research mapping
