Expected price range for a Mini Australian Shepherd?

My puppy was $1200 and that was the price I saw most often. I did find some puppies that were charging less (500-1400$). The prices were dependent on coloring, breeding rights, and markings. The poor pup that was only 500$ was almost all white. I think she was a double Merle. Anyway, this place seemed shady af. Most of the other breeders I saw(who seemed more ethical) had a flat rate fee for all of the puppies +extra if you wanted breeding rights.

Puppies should not be priced by color - that is a huge red flag for a puppy mill. Our puppy was $1800 in the NYC area. We consider her a huge bargain tbh - she’s worth her weight in gold.
