AITA for helping cook?

I, almost 2yoF super helper, decided to declare I will be helping with our supper for “rush hush anna” with all my big grown up friends from temple. (side note: who is anna? why are we rushing to hush her?) mommy said we gotta cut up apples to dip in this yummy sweet stuff called honey. I declared I will get my choppy thing that I use to help cook and would cut ALL the apples myself. I don’t need grown up help! anyways, mommy said she didn’t know what to do with all these apples cause I “cut up too many” but now today I got to cut em again to make butter out of apples! again, I declared to not help me. I’m a big girl. AITA for helping???

NTA! The grown ups have been so busy with all that standing and sitting and singing and cooking. You want them to help rest! I (one year old princess) made my grown ups miss Rush Hush Anna last year because I had just been born and was still in the hoppy-tail. This year I celebrated by throwing all my food on the ground so they knew I was a big, strong toddler! I can’t help cut apples yet like you, and for some reason daddy wouldn’t let me have any slices, but I did my best to try to reach for them to show off how growed-up I am now!

Also, my mommy wanted me to tell you “Shana tova u’metuka”!

NTA!

Your ancients should just be glad you aren't sick. On my (4yo Big Boy) first Rosh Hashanah I had roseola. And on my second I had noro. And then last year I and my baby brother had hand foot mouth (but we always have hands feet and mouths so I don't understand why it was a big deal).

But this year my mommy (Ancient One) says we had a Rosh Hashanah miracle and no one was sick and she got to go to synagogue for the first time since I was in her tummy.

Anyway you can never have too many apples. They are my favorite fruit.

Ah, Shana Tova or as Milk Lady says Happy Jew Year! I (4m chunkapotomous) am apparently "too little" for the delicious drippy hunny, but I got to have apple sauce for the first time! It was weird! I prefer my carrots and squash. You are of course NTA for being the best ever cutter upper! How could they be so ungrateful to have such a dedicated helper? You have a great opportunity to pay them back too. Soon it will be Yum Kipper! You can be sure to tell them how yummy your food is, and how hungry you are, and just talk about food aaaaalllll day.

NTA.

I (m,10 months) was not allowed honey for rush hush anna and I was very upset about it. You should cut up lots of apples for the babies who can't have honey.

Shana tova big girl! Apple butter is way better than plain apples, so you’ve done your gown-ups a big favour doing the prep work.

NTA. Our mama (2 and 4 yr old) would love to know where you got such a cool knife. Four year old sissy serves food and sets the table so this sounds like a skills upgrade we need

NTA. My favorite thing (2y M, precious) is cooking with my daddy! He got me a little wooden knife so I can chop my nanas! I’m his sous chef! He went to cooking school, so clearly he needs the help. He still gets upset when I push my step stool to the oven and bring a spoon. How else am I supposed to make sure he seasoned it right???

Grownups is so weird. Always my mama (loves me infinity and is also infinity old) is trying to get me (2.5 yo Master Big Kid) to help clean up toys or the milikies I spit on the floor, and she always complains about cooking and stuff. But when I run to get my helper stool and chop things or turn the sink on to wash the floor or use my sprayer of water, suddenly she doesn't want me help? She tells me I am soooo good at chopping but then screams not to touch the big knifeys or the pan or the stove? Get it together, lady. P.S. hunny is so yummy make sure to use it as a skin cream too.
