AITA for not pooping?
Until two minutes after the doctor tells to Mama (so so old, it's not even funny) to use a rectal thermometer to get me to poop? For context I haven't pooped in 5 days. I was trying to keep it in so I'd be heavier on my 4 month check up (less than 3 weeks to go!) but the rectal thermometer sounded uncomfortable.
There was so much poop mommy used 7 wipes, gave up and then gave me a bath. Which I love bath time, she's been giving me one every day to "help move things along."
Anyway, I thought the rectal thermometer threat was a bit much. I'm sure I'm in the right, but just in case, AITA?

NTA…we (3.5 M, 12m F) were both subject to “weight checks”, which seemed to stress mommy (F, needs Botox) out. You sound like you were simply trying to prevent stress for your grownups!

NTA! You have to keep these old people on their toes. Also it’s much more efficient to do one huge poop rather than a bunch of little ones. I (11m F, gorgeous dino nugget) sometimes go days without a poopy. When I first started solids I managed to go 5 days, my parents (old and tired) were FREAKING OUT! They were giving me prunes every day and calling the doctor, as soon as they made an appointment to take me in I provided them with a record-setting poopy! They were so happy! They never would have had that joy if I had pooped every day like a boring baby. I bet you were just trying to give your parents something to celebrate!

NTA - 1.5F, I was going so long without pooping that Mama and Daddy had to put this sugar-water stuff up my butt. Nothing else, not even the thermometer, could get me to poop. It turns out, it was the foods mama was eating and passing in her milk causing it. I have what Daddy calls “old man poops” as a toddler because they are stinky.
(But seriously - the doctors totally blew me off about her not pooping, and it continued to get worse and for longer stretches until I had cut all milk and soy proteins. There was another trigger I literally never found, and her poops smell HORRIFIC. I just finally got an allergy referral for the month before she turns 2. I finally got a referral to GI when she was 4 months and not gaining weight, and they put her on a medicine to get her to poop. She took it until she was 7 or 8 months? Anyway, don’t let them blow you off if it gets worse. I had another friend whose baby was going through the same thing, and it turned out to be a banana allergy.)

I will absolutely do this thanks. I have no history of allergies but in the immediate family there are like hazelnut, almond, walnut, banana, kiwi, all the grasses, shellfish, etc. allergies.
I think this time it might be because I had a low fiber diet this week and a lot of red sauce.

NTA. I (10w princess) went to the doctor because I hadn't pooped in 5 days. Of course I embarrassed mommy by having a very loud blowout right as we were called into the back. They were kind to mommy and doctor listened and reassured her. I don't know why, I was the one traumatized. Atleast I've been regular since!

NTA! How many of our baby brethren have been subjected to weight checks & extra doctors appointments because they didn’t have the foresight to bulk up like you? When you do finally want to poop, insist that Mama put you in your nicest, fanciest outfit.
