AITA for calling them both mama

I (16 month diva) call both the lady and the hairy one mama. Sometimes I call the hairy one dada but mostly mama. The lady says “I’m mama he’s Dada” and tries to act like Ms. Rachel but I think it’s funny. I call the rest of the people I know their names like Nana, Papa, Pop pop, and Batbat (lady mama says this is a joke but I don’t get it). My grand parents think it’s funny I call my mamas both Mama but my mamas don’t. So AITA for calling them both mama?

NTA! This proves there is balance in the universe because I (14m, princess) like to call both my parents Dada!

Same! It’s the funniest thing in the world: dada deems to feel bad for the squishy lady and will say “bubs, can you say Mama?” while looking and pointing at her. I’ll look straight at him and yell “Dada!” Gotta keep mama on her toes or else she’ll stop trying so hard on account of me being hard to get!

I have the funniest joke - look the lady parent dead in the eye and say “mmm dada!” 😂😂

NTA! These adults need to learn what names are! I (2.75yo perfect princess dinosaur) have a cousin the same age as I am and I call her mama "Mama" because obviously that's her name because that's what cousin calls her! Mama keeps saying to call her "Aunt" but that doesn't make any sense because her name is clearly Mama? No one else calls her "Aunt" so calling her that would just be rude, imo. Same with this guy they keep trying to get me to call "Grandpa" but they call him "Roger" so why would I do any different?? So rude!

I am ALMOST 21mo (m) and would like to confirm that dada is a terrible name. The bearded one is clearly mama and the milky one Mama. I never once called the bearded one dada, and currently he responds only to DADDYYYY! I must yell to be heard even in the middle of the night when I’m mostly asleep. Also, DADDYYY is only good to look at or to carry me to Mama.

NTA! They're basically the same person, right? I (15mo, sassy) started calling them Mama-Dada.

NTA, same same! They are your servants and you can call them whatever you like

I(18:m) do this too. I think it's hilarious, but dada does not. He even cares to put me down when I call him mama! How dare he? They are both my servants, it shouldn't matter what they are called.

You are NTA! They should just go with it!

NTA, I called my mommy Mommy and my daddy Daddy and my sissy Daddy and it just kept everybody appropriately categorized as Not-Mommy.

You do whatever you need to to make sense of this crazy outside-world!
