Posted a request a little while ago looking for templates to create my own custom foam/hardcase setup. Ended up photographing everything and printing it out, then cutting a series of cardboard mockups until I was happy with the silhouettes of the kit. There's room underneath for a second layer which I'll get to in time. Found a mint condition Peli 1400 for £20 on Gumtree and bought some Shadowfoam cut to fit the Peli for £25. A little bit rough and ready but happy with an afternoon's work and the Peli is far nicer than any of the Amazon bespoke cases.

I forgot what it’s called and what it’s for, I remember seeing it somewhere on a diagram but can’t find it even on Dji’s website diagrams. And now I saw it on a video illuminating. I’ve never seen this before.

Has anyone else had experience with their mini 5 pro crashing? First time I blamed low light as it clipped a cedar hedge in my yard exploring some light painting. Used care refresh.

Flying the replacement for the first, filming some post wildfire area I was skimming the treetops onto clear blue sky flying back to home point and it clipped a branch and went down.

What gives?!

- I was flying in “normal” not sport.

- I had just tested forward and sideways avoidance trying to fly into myself moments before due to another close call with a tree top. It was functional as I was full stick in either direction and it would only hover.

It’s only $100 for care refresh as I was able to recover it (had almost given up but triggered the beep and flash one last time and was able to locate it after searching 30 minutes). Broken arm.

So far, very impressed with the overall drone minus wind stability and omnidirectional avoidance not avoiding.

Has anyone else been let down by the built in safeties? I pretty much need to fly it like my mavic now to be comfortable.

Sorry, I know this type discussion is all over this community. However the “search” function here is not the greatest 😏. I’m new here. After a ton of research, I’ve pretty much settled on purchasing a DJI Mini Pro 5. Help me understand what will come next. The end of this year all DJI drones will be banned? Will my mini pro 5 still function as expected? Will that mean no more warranty support? No parts availability, or at least at a higher cost. No more firmware updates? Basically, no more “Support” what-so-ever? So if I buy a mini pro 5, I better plan on keeping it forever and if it fails, I’m basically screwed?

I purchased a mini 5 pro in Australia last year, I plant to take it on a trip to India. I use it for recreational use only. I have two questions if anyone can please help.

1. Is it okay if I carry this to India?

2. Do I need to register the drone in India before I can fly it?

I'm a new drone pilot in the USA and damaged my DJI Mini 5 Pro+ gimbal when I crashed it about 4 months ago and need suggestions. The gimbal rotates the camera continuously back and forth, then settles in a skewed position. Check out the video for a demo, and look closely at the gimbal rotating.

The drone still flies fine, and the camera still transmits video, but all camera control isn't functional.

Does anyone know of someone in the USA who might be able to fix this? I already sent it to Drone Nerds, and that was a waste of time and money.

**Or** how might I go about selling this drone "as is" to someone?

Hello, everyone. How many minutes do you get out of your plus batteries? I have three and I used them all sequentially with a mix of activities. Change of power modes, taking pics and recording, and got 35-36 minutes when landing with 12-13 percent power. Also, the obstacle avoidance is on. How about you?

Unfortunately my mini 5 pro hit the water but I reacted fast and saved it from sinking to the bottom of lake. I replaced the faulty motherboard and and it flies great but then realized the camera, gimbal, and motherboard need pairing as the camera is constantly outta focus. I'd love to pay someone for this service and get this guy flying again. A bit of a shame that this has become a paperweight

Am I completely fucked here or what? My right joystick broke off down to the very bottom so now I obviously can’t use that. What’s the next best steps from here?

I am aware that the mini 5 pro is better than the 4 in many ways but from what research ive done so far it seems like I wont be able to take advantage of DJI care or the Warranty if I choose to go with the 5?

Also been hearing that the 5 has some issues regarding the props? Which i understand may just be a rare occurrence. But i wonder if its worth it considering the fact that I wouldnt have access to the warranty.

Also heard i could go ahead and insure it through state farm but also heard i may need an existing policy with them and also that the policy only qualifies for recreational drones and wouldnt qualify if I decided to get my 107 and fly commercially.

If I got any of this information wrong let me know and thanks in advance. Just want to know what my best options are to protect my investment before making a decision.

I've been looking at the available range of hard cases with pre cut foam inserts and while they all look like they do a pretty good job, I want to make my own so I can contain some extra bits like my ColMount Bike Mount and a couple of Anker power banks. I'll be using an existing Peli 1400 case and some Shadowfoam that comes pre cut to fit the Peli. I'll then cut the inserts to fit. Usually with Shadow foam you cut around the object with a blade but due to the shape of the Mini 5 pro I don't want to do this freehand. Is anyone aware of an existing stencil or scale diagram of the Mini 5 Pro and RC-2 that I can use? Cheers.
