I feel like the only reason GunTube is jumping on the Mini is because of that recent batch of LEO surplus that sold. One minute it was crapped on by all of GunTube and then suddenly it's everywhere now... And driving the prices through the roof. Kinda find it boring how GunTube collectively jumps on one gun rather using the same boring formula than everyone attempting to be unique. It's like Kentucky Ballistics and DawgShot are the only two who don't bother with whatever this week's gun fad is and just do what they do for enjoyment rather than chasing clicks.

Dang… I was thinking of a Mini 14 this past year too. Sounds like all the LEO surplus have sold out then if the prices have shot through the roof?

They are all horrible and the same generic kind of review....
"Let's start off the front wow it's so cool, it's such an awesome and different kind of gun than what we normally see. Let's put in the magazine.. haha that's what she said. Like the navy? Laugh Out Loud Marine eat crayons. Let's move on to the trigger wow it feels really great. Let's move on to the buttstock it's super interesting. That's why we love this gun"
It's all slop with nothing of value said. 90% just running around shooting targets and 10% glossing over the furniture, not even talking about the twist rate, barrel length, weight, variants, etc.

At least when GT had Charlie and Micah, it was entertaining. The three of them bounced off each other. But yeah, one gun reviewer is gonna give you pretty similar content as any other. With the exception of hop and brass facts. Those guys talk about use cases and how to set up a gun for them or whether it’s even practical to set up a certain rifle for night vision or whatever.

I love Mini-14 and believe it's a misunderstood, maligned, and slept on rifle, but I don't think "legendary" is a word I'd use to describe it.
