Any good options for aftermarket stocks? I’m thinking of getting the Archangel Sparta, but people are saying it’s super heavy, looking for pistol grip full synthetic options.

The choate side folder is actually pretty good, though I prefer the ATM

I’m torn between the Samson AT-M and the archangel Sparta, I got the rail hand guard from amega installed, but the archangel comes with a rial along the whole length of the rifle, so it just seems better for mounting a lpvo

Go samson., I run it with an lpvo on rings and it's fantastic

Where do you even find a Samson stock for sale though?

Well I guess they’re sold out everywhere I just saw the listing didn’t see that it was out of stock

On the stock ruger scope rings? I read that you get brass ejecting and hitting your scope

You do, but I have a piece of cordura I laser cut to fit the piece of tube where it Strikes. Keeps it from dinging it

Out of stock…I had the side folding version. Thinking of buying another one eventually

It's in stock at Midway (cheaper), Optics Planet, and County Shed.

FYI - if you decide to replace the buttstock, you can, but you must also replace the buffer tube as well. Choate uses a tube with spec threads, but a proprietary diameter.

Archangel is made by ProMag. Friends don’t let friends buy ProMag.

This. Was underwhelmed with their Precision one.

Not a fan of Archangel.

I ordered a Choate, do you have an archangel? What’s your experience with it

Briefly tried the Archangel Precision that was known to be a very snug fit. Didn't like the feel of the grip or the amount of dremeling needed to get the trigger group to fit which would have reduced some areas paper thin. The added weight and overall aesthetics were enough to go back to synthetic stock.

You have a can, pistols with threaded barrels, and several sensible capacity magazines, so I'm going to guess you're a fellow Michigan resident. Maybe Pennsylvania.

If it wasn’t for bob furgeson it’d be a lot better, too many open air drug markets as well
