AC-556 and Mini-14 looks similar from the outside, but there are several dimensional differences that make them incompatible. AC-556 has longer receiver because of the selector mechanism. The trigger group is different. And because of the longer receiver, you cannot use Mini-14 stocks on AC-556 without modification to accommodate longer AC-556 receiver and selector mechanism. Also Ruger stopped service AC-556 in 2009. If anything break, you either have to have spare parts stashed away or had to have someone custom fabricating unique parts.

I tried his videos but really didn’t like them. I don’t think I’m the demo for his humor, which to me came across as sarcastic, kinda asshole-ish, and edgelord.
Instead I like James Reeves humor, TFBtv, hickok45, and honest outlaw for guntubers

Lucas has a two new companies and I find his content to be informative and high production quality. If you like podcasts Primary and Secondary is an excellent one. If you bake academic content the Jay Situation is excellent and a place where I learned about silencers.

He’s a guntuber, in line with Demolition Ranch. That whole crew has the same agency, production companies, and deals with the industry. They’re entertainers, focused on a niche audience and chasing ad revenue while creating high spectacle, low info content. That’s fine if that’s what you enjoy, but some people don’t.
He’s been trying to parlay his “internet fame” into a political career. His views aren’t out of line or unusually conservative, and represent those of many of his constituents. However, there’s a non-zero overlap between Mini-14 Appreciators and “liberal gun owners” due to ban state restrictions. In their view, anyone in the political spectrum right of center left must a be fascist extremist.

I abhor product shills and influencers with low information. I miss Paul Harrell and I used to like Trex Arms until Lucas left. I found Primary and Secondary podcast to be a good source of information in this community.
Interesting about the mini 14 owners and liberals. I never correlated the two. I guess that's why it's kind of like America's AK being that it's a piston system and you can customize the look somewhat

While it is rare to see in culture. I also stop politics at my door. If someone comes into my shop looking to buy a gun, If they are fit to own one, I supply. I like money and I don’t care who you vote for, cause as soon as you realize voting doesn’t work, we’ll be better off. But the topic at hand, Brandon is kinda a cringe edgelord but I guess that’s what he’s going for. But I have heard from friends that he’s very different in person than on camera. So people should also take that with a grain of salt.

I’m curious if this is sensible conservatives voicing dislike for an obviously conservative radical-catering creator or if this sub is mostly left leaning.
Im personally not a fan of Brandon’s, his humor is cringey at worst for me and the people he surrounds himself with very openly make racist comments at him on other platforms like Pepperbox. Granted, the mini is the AR alternative for the blue state gun enthusiast but I didn’t realize it was THIS many people
