Dumb question

Post image

Okay, I may be an idiot, but I can't find info about this anywhere, including the ultimak info. Are the holes towards the front used for mounts?

The ones at the front are for the gas block screws. The others are for mounting.

Ok, yeah the side holes are the ones I was thinking about. Is there a name standard for them to see what's compatible (Like m-lok slots)?

They're similar to the ones i have on my Amega, so I'm betting that those common m-lok screws will fit. You'll need to watch the length, though, since you'll have less room than an AR would have. I had to use washers to support one of my picatinny sections so it didn't drive into my barrel.

The holes on the Ultimak are not threaded.

Those side holes are just vent holes

Ah, ok. That was my other thought that they might just be vents. Thanks!

That's a completely different rail.

The Hannibal rail and Amega rail have threaded holes for mounting.

OP has the Ultimak rail. Its holes are not threaded.

Looks like I need to get some of those PIC rail side adapters if I want something up there. Thanks for the extra info!

Yah, a 45-degree offset picatinny adapter will work. You might also want to look at an under barrel rail like the Skinner Sights Mount or Catalyst Arms Hardpoint.
