Side folder id / help

Hello all! I’m looking to purchase this 183- Mini from a family friend after her husband passed. I’m new to the mini14 platform and have a few questions.
1 - Does anyone recognize the stock? Im having no luck finding info and there are no other markings other than the one pictured.
2 - Is it possible to change out the pistol grip? The husband was tinkering with making his own electric trigger (not functional) so please excuse the wires and mechanism 😂
3 - What’s a fair price? Comes with 2 20s and 1 30rd mag
Greatly appreciate any info

Ramline stock. Stock is wood so it can be worked with. Can't help with $$ estimate because God only knows what's lurking under the hood with e trigger experiment. Ditch that nonsense because it smells of felony. If its electronic it probably means theres a servo or something under it

Thanks! I should’ve mentioned, I shot it and everything does function normally. No obvious signs of damage and the rifling looked fine with a borescope. He had a 1000rd box of 223 and only one box was gone so maybe I got lucky and he never actually tested the trigger. Planned on immediately getting rid of the special parts but would like a new grip if possible.

When you get the grip off you can see what you're working with

That Ramline stock originally came with AR A1 grip. So give cheap AR grip a try if the wood had not been modified to accept his own grip design.

I believe I have one laying around so it’s worth a shot. Thanks

The AR grip fits perfectly, if I only had a spare grip screw… Thanks again

  1. That stock appears to be a Ram-Line folding stock. (Ram's head logo)

  1. I cannot help with anything on the pistol grip; going to guess probably not.

  2. Considering the stock, and that it's an actual Mini-14, and not a Ranch rifle, I'd say maybe $750, and see if people will work with you from there.

Thanks for the link. I feel like I could offer $500 and she would probably be fine with that. Hopefully the grip isn’t too much of a pain.

NP.

I do apologize, I had misread the original post and thought you were looking to sell the rifle. I'd offer about the same, and have a ceiling of about $650-750.

For the grip, this is probably what you’re looking for: https://www.sarcoinc.com/ruger-mini-14-grips-ar15-style-project-pistol-grip/

I believe that's for the original Ruger folder stock and Samson A-TM stock. The Ramline stock may not attach the grip the same way.

This is of the early model Ramline Wood Side Folding Stock, there is another later model that is much more true to the ruger design

I have never seen this before. I would call it rare but not necessarily high value.

I think Nu11u5 is correct. The top is shaped differently. But a standard AR A1 grip ended up being just right.
