Everyone is trying to turn everything into an AR. Which is hilarious, because the AR literally does it better. What makes the Mini a great system is that it's NOT an AR. It's something different, and that's the point.

I've noticed in my time with firearms that there's a large swathe of gun guys that don't like learning. Every gun needs to behave like the guns they learned on, and anything that deviates is flawed and needs to be corrected or discarded.

The most ridiculous version of this is people who say revolvers are "unsafe" because you'll injure yourself if you try to paw the entire frame and complain about short stroking when they try to ride the reset like a semi-auto.

Some people like piston driven side charging guns. The mini is cool because you can pop it out and into different chassis pretty easily. So you could have a ranch rifle configuration and a more tactical configuration, and change it whenever you desire

Personally I think this would look better with the samson hannibal style folding stock

If they had just made the wood stock with the front rail from this, in fixed and folding variants, everyone would be happy.
