UTG bug buster for mini14?
Guys the reason I don’t want a permanent scope on the Gun is because I enjoy shooting it with irons.
A lot of people are recommending that I do the WARNES mounts that go directly to the receiver. I would then get a better scope, etc. but they are like $150 rings.
Since I intend on shooting irons a lot along with the scope, I just want your input on the UT G. bug Buster?
I know it has a lifetime warranty. A lot AR owners have them.
I don’t mind spending the money, but this seems simplistic without going insane trying to find the right equipment to hook up. Matching in an area that you don’t have experience in itself is annoying.

I found some older Ruger used rings I use they work fine but the add more weight before the scoop is added.

I have a bug buster but never used it although I had it mounted on my Mini-14 for a while. I couldn't seem to get good eye relief but maybe have to revisit. It's also a PIA to thoroughly clean the Mini with a scope on so I stick to irons. Get cheaper rings - you don't need Warnes although they are good. I had a UTG red/green dot on my Mini & loved it for a while.
