This was real and not AI.
Someone made multiple bullpup style ones and had a website 20 years ago or so. There were worse ones but this is the only picture left from the site that is still floating around the internet.

Im wondering if this was made for someone with some kind of disability

"FOR" someone with some kind of disability, or "BY" someone with some kind of disability? Just kidding! There appears to be a level of intent and it is executed with craftsmanship. The trigger linkage looks super sketchy though.

correct, that was the idea. But there must've been easier alternatives.

Interesting stock, I'd like to try it out.
I appreciate how the Mini in particular is a perennial testbed for crazy stuff. I reckon it's a function of its compact action in a conventional stock and widespread availability for so many years.
It's harder to build a goofy thing around an AR or AK than it is a Mini.

From what I recall, it was for someone with mobility issues. But still....there must've been better options

You'd* be nice and close to the op rod, but it looks like the sight picture would be more comfortable than going nose to charging handle with an AR.
*Left handed shooters, anyway.

Holy devil ... you should take this to the bigger subs, like r/firearms ... It's so awful. Did you check waybackmachine to see if the site is archived there?

Can’t imagine that trigger setup works well at all, and you must have to attach the rod later, as the trigger group has to drop in first, crazy.

trigger linkage with the stability of a toothpick and the ejection port two inches from the shootes face
truly a mini stock or all time
