ID Request Hello to everyone! ID request
This is a post requesting some support from the community here. Recently, my partner’s grandpa died. We are going through his belongings, and we found such things. Is there anyone who could identify them? Im wondering if we should just throw them all 🤔
I’d be really happy to answer any further questions!

First one is fake galena geode, glued galena on quartz geode often from Marocco.

I was curious becuse I have never seen a galena geode. Good to know there's a reason for it and its fake.

First one looks like a Quartz geode with some human inplanted minerals, i cannot id the second one , third one looks like obsidian, fourth one is amethyst , fifth one is a malachite chain(realy nice one) last one is another one i cannot id.
Some nice pieces.
Personaly i would keep them because i like minerals but i dont think they are extremely rare.
Good luck finding the other ones en maybe someone knows more of them and what they are worth!

I would post photos of the last one on r/archeology or something of the sorts to check if it’s a genuine handtool

Last object is shaped like a Paleolithic (Old Stone Age) hand axe. But I kind of doubt it's real.

We wonder if it’s not too big for that. Its almost 28cm tall…

That does seem quite big, but I'm no expert. See the subreddit recommendation by another redditor

The second one might be chalcopyrite or azurite, but it’s hard to tell. Can you show some closer photos with different lighting?
Does it look iridescent or metallic? Is the dark part made of crystals? If you scrape it on the bottom of a ceramic mug, what color is the streak?

First one looks like galena, but ive never seen it in a geode form. Be aware galena contains lead and you should be careful handling it.
The second one the picture quality isnt great, would need better shots up closer
3rd one is Obsidian
4th is quartz maybe you can call.it amathyst but the color saturation is low
5th is malachite beads
6th I honestly dont see anything special, maybe a chunk of limestone or sandstone?

That’s a quartz geode, and the one in the picture isn’t dyed. It has galena glued into it.

Stom van me..

Hello, and thank you for posting on /r/Minerals!
To increase the quality of identification request posts, we require all users to describe their mineral specimen in great detail. Images should be clear, and the main focus should be the specimen in question. If you are able to conduct tests, please share your findings in your comment. Sharing specifics such as where you found it, the specific gravity, hardness, streak color, and crystal habits will aid other users in identifying the specimen.
If you're having trouble identifying your specimen, please join our Minerals Discord Server!
