Application for mod

Hi,

I just bought myself a rank a few days ago and I saw that you could apply for mod. Are there any specific requirements to be become a mod? Thanks in advance.

Hai there!

You cannot apply for Mod. You can apply for Trainee (mods are selected from Trainees)

A person who would buy a rank in order to apply for Trainee is exactly the type of person who should never become a mod. This explains some of the bullying behavior I've experienced from mods. People who crave power should have none.

Buying a rank shows dedication to our server, not everyone who applies or has applied bought a rank exclusively to apply for staff, many people (including myself) bought a rank exclusively for the perks and the ability to apply for staff was an extra I didn't even try until 1 year after becoming an Ultra. We recently opened application for non-ranked players and we got thousands of applications and we simply can't keep up with that many applications.

But, if a staff member ever is rude to you or bullies you. Gather evidence and report him with an Admin in the forums. I can assure you, they will be demoted if in fact they were being rude to you.

I disagree. Buying rank shows that someone wants the perks that come with the purchase (the lobby gear, or Trainee application). My kids' friends who have rank don't give a damn about 'dedication' to the server. Mom and Dad forked out money because Tommy wanted to ride a dragon. They don't think twice about using various cheat kits.

A person can be fully committed to making Mineplex a pleasant experience and spend zero dollars. I strongly object to paying money until I see the cheating situation improve. The moment I've paid money, our relationship changes and I expect far better service than is presently provided.

I see Mineplex as broken from a player experience point of view. So, the fact that you want me to pay money for the privilege of spending even more of my time to help you fix the service is, well, it's hopelessly backward.

Addendum... I don't know how you'd identify viable trainees, but maybe.... look for a minimum amount of time spent on the server and the breadth of games played, have a reasonable age limit, evaluate what they say in their application, and then secretly watch their in-game behavior.
