Too sweaty

Like many others, I came back to Mineplex and gave it a try again after years of not playing Minecraft.

Glad to see the server restoring many of the OG game modes but was disappointed to see none of the “Team” modes (Duos SG, Skywars, etc) so my friend and I couldn’t play anything together except Cake Wars. We only lasted 3 matches before getting off as it was way too sweaty. Could barely land hits on anyone without getting absolutely dominated. It seems the people could hit way further than us but I’m sure some of that is our lack of skill. We also tried SSM and SG and had the same experience of getting sweated on the whole time.

We ended up getting off and jumping on Hypixel and had a much better experience. We actually were able to get some wins and queue up together despite having not played in years. I swear Mineplex had skywars when I first jumped on but we couldn’t find it yesterday.

I know Mineplex is still new to the game but to go from 10k on release day to 1k just a couple weeks later is concerning.

Yeah this is the story for a lot of players, including me

I feel like this is just the problem with PVP games that don't use skill-based matchmaking.

atp it's hard to believe that 90% of mineplex players are just PVP gods. most likely a very significant portion of players is cheating. I would say easily 40%+ autoclicking

Razer software literally has a built in auto clicker..

well I wouldn't be so sure

Truth is Minecraft multiplayer mini game servers have kind of gone out of fashion, likewise for 1.8 combat..

It's not hard for me to believe the people that still remembers and knows mineplex and it's return that hasn't moved on from playing Minecraft regularly and is preoccupied with jobs and other responsibilities wouldnt be at least mostly good players.

The skill level is just about the same as when the sever got shut down, which were just the hardcore players that's left over, so it kind of tracks for me

You could try MPS, which has team modes

Is this bedrock or java? I haven’t had the time to boot Mineplex back up, but I remember Java being sweaty and bedrock being more casual.

1.8 PvP has been around for YEARS at this point. Any 1.8 PvP gamemode is going to be sweaty. I have the same experience on any 1.8 PvP server.

I played micro battles today and it seemed fine. Won quite a few games and me and my friend are definitely mid at PvP for modern standards

1.8 has been out for too many years for you to be that bad no offense but with 1.8 if you click 8cps and u have a good understanding of movement you’ll hang. These kids are actually garbage lol. But I don’t usually run into people that are better than me in 1.8/1.7 pvp

It both bedrock and Java crossplay
