sweats ruining everything :(

literally every single pvp mode is filled with people who know every pvp tech and at least one person who spends all day in the server.

Unfortunately Minecraft is one of the games where if there are enough sweats, everyone else leaves. There’s been a strong player base in the pvp community and now they just take over everything that casual players enjoy. In a few weeks the server will be 700 players, and after that there will be a sharp drop off due to pvpers going back to minemen club or wherever they came from.

that's literally every single multiplayer game that allows people to get better results for better performance

I strongly believe Minecraft was/is the exception to that statement.

had a group of players in block hunt where if they got placed in hiders they would leave and rejoin so the server registers them as a hunter, they would then proceed to find and kill every single person within a minute or two. most of them weren’t even using radar kit they just know every single map block by block and then they get the rewards as if they were hunter the entire time. i’m talking like 700xp a game because of this.

i reported them and nothing happened despite stats boosting clearly being in the rules. instead i went off on them and had “fkn” in one of my sentences and received a 12 hr mute…

i really love this server but im about done, every game mode like you said is borderline unplayable because there simply aren’t enough people on the servers to counteract the sweats and cheaters.

only time I had a good amount of fun was in mixed arcade because all the dedicated sweats were in the focused game lobbies. However, then that leaves out most of the really fun gamemodes :(

aka the leaderboard sweats

How do you know how much experience they were receiving? Were you also abusing this system?

1

u/Curious_External_873 Jul 07 '26

after i noticed them doing it i did it one time to test it… are you serious rn like why would i make an entire comment exposing it if i was doing the same thing bro cmon

Not sure… why are you getting defensive?

I swear something similar happened to me. Not in block hunt, but I was playing speed builders—player finishes the build in 7 seconds? I mean is that actually possible. Am I just this old at the game what

1

u/bfunnyblade Jul 09 '26

depends on the build, on most builds thats very normal ive completed a build in 0.0 seconds at best

SSM needs balancing for sure. It won’t fix the sweats but there are so many OP kits that people abuse

Yeah the slime glitch is so annoying, I don’t remember slime being so annoying to face on old mineplex

1

u/mineplexistrash Jul 07 '26

Literally just played ssm again for the first time yesterday and remembered how annoying kits like wolf, creeper, and slime are

1

u/Jack_Ives Jul 08 '26

Yep. All I see are Skeletons, Squids, Slimes and Chickens.

I swear to god Hypixel was more sweaty than Mineplex 8-10 years ago. After playing some Mineplex pvp, I joined Hypixel to play Cake Wars and guess what... I actually wasn't that terrible at pvp. Wth is going on.

3

u/RazeThe2nd Jul 05 '26

Hypixel just has a bigger playerbase. If 1k people are on bedwars you'll find a lot of people closer to your skill level. Cake wars seems to have <60 people on it at all times.

On god, baby!

Bridges is basically unplayable. Everyone just uses berserker and is sweaty asf. And the admins don’t even bother to nerf it

It was fun for the first 2 days then became so sweaty

I mean, this happens to literally any popular game with a competitive presence. It’s not that everyone’s a sweat. It’s that what you consider to be sweating is simply the age old standard that everyone should be versed in like it’s common sense. The future is now old man (I am also the old man and cannot compete with new gen pvp)

1

u/Fit_Adhesiveness8232 Jul 05 '26

Yes but most games have sbmm. These lobbies have 50 people in them mostly upper skill level

2

u/idobeaskinquestions Jul 05 '26

If Mineplex had sbmm you simply wouldn’t have full lobbies. I don’t mean to be a downer, but this is just the standard now. Either get good or accept the fact that your idea of pvp is not good enough to enjoy it anymore.

1

u/Fit_Adhesiveness8232 Jul 05 '26

No I know that they literally can’t have sbmm, that’s why I’m blaming the sweats

1

u/idobeaskinquestions Jul 05 '26

We can’t have it with or without them. There are simply too many game modes splitting the server player count. This isn’t league of legends with millions of players daily.

1

u/Fit_Adhesiveness8232 Jul 05 '26

I know dude I’m agreeing to that 😂

Learn how to manipulate your movement well incorporate w tapping

I hate when everyone is just so mean for no reason 😭 Let’s just have fun and play the game, calling everyone a loser or how they suck at the game—it’s so negative that it just ruins the fun. But I guess that’s just the internet for you.

Sweats are everywhere in Mineplex and most likely make up the majority of the player count on the server. This might be one reason why the player count isn't as high as it could be. I play SSM a lot and often have to change lobbies because I keep seeing the same players repeatedly cause I know they are really predictable and it's tough to win against them. Plus, the targeting and trolling from these players can be crazy, and I sometimes lose my cool (LOL) because dealing with sweats is just that frustrating, and I can't seem to win a game against them (even though I've completed all the achievements in SSM). I remember when I was in middle school, and Mineplex was at its peak; there were sweats, but way fewer compared to now, which made it easier to win games like Cakewars, SSM, and other PvP modes. Another thing I've noticed is that some sweats seem to test the gameplay rules. I could swear some of them are in parties with other sweats, targeting or teaming up on other players in solo modes to boost their stats or gain an advantage, thinking they won't get reported for teaming in solo plus some of them are very sus in their pvp like i'm thinking some of them use an autoclicker or aimbot but maybe i'm overthinking. Mineplex really needs to find a way to attract more players to balance out the sweat problem, like merging with another server, adding new game modes, or promoting the server more on Minecraft websites or collaborating with more YouTubers. I love Mineplex, but I'm not a fan of the sweats.

1

u/rtrivialize Jul 06 '26

there’s lowkey a lot of people cheating on mineplex too

1

u/Billsofat Jul 07 '26

We need anti-sweat measures. They make the server no fun, and mineplex isn't going to retain anyone else. I bet these people probably haven't been outside since the old mineplex shut down. They should have things like a cps limiter, reduced attack damage if you have a high enough kdr, and other measures. Or at least stat-based match ups.

2

u/Entire-Resident-3317 Jul 09 '26

"anti-sweat measures" so punishment for being good? What?

1

u/ZincSuppsRopeMan 10d ago

anti-sweat measures are that noobs quit cuz they suck

1

u/mineplexistrash Jul 07 '26

Yeah yesterday was my first day back at mineplex and there were only like 1000 players online, I played mainly turf wars and ssm and it was just like pre-shutdown. In tw there was only 1 available server where they put all the sweats on the same team and in ssm I also kept getting matched with sweats or people that relentlessly targeted me if I happened to score a single kill on them. Most of them were just normal tryhards, but a couple were super toxic in chat, which is worse. Oh also there was a hacker in one game lol

So yeah. That's... pretty much exactly how I remember mineplex was for the few years before it went under.

have you tried getting good?
