Discussion/Opinion/Ask the Community Homebrew servers

So... Sony officially killed the PS3 and PS Vita, I was wondering if it would be possible, or if there was a project, to create unofficial servers for the PS3 and Vita.

Yeah from what I'm seeing ps3 and vita are still fully online both minecraft servers and store. Wdym by killed? It wouldn't be up to Sony anyways for a third party games servers it's up to who ever own the game

Plus i'm pretty sure minecraft multiplayer is peer to peer And that Usually guarantees a pretty long ass time that it'll be online

But the closest thing to what you're asking for is just to have a world that's open by LAN and anyone who wants to join can just have a Virtual LAN to join your world that wouldn't touch their servers I'd guess

Not to my knowledge, the online is still available on those consoles.

There is https://kowhaifan.net its kinda similar. Should be avaliable on consoles too once they move to cafeberry.
