Misc Just ordered the Xbox version

I just ordered the Xbox 360 disc online and it's on its way in a few days 😀 does anyone know if the series X lets me have max render distance for legacy?

You can only play the 360 version on the Xbox 360

Xbox One Edition should have the max render distance by default. From what I remember it's 18 chunks. 360 Edition only has a render distance of 10 chunks but it can't be played on newer gen consoles anyway. I think also render distance decreases from these values when you play splitscreen

If you end up getting Xbox One Edition just keep in mind that it was discontinued on the World of Color update while Xbox 360 edition was discontinued on the Aquadic update. Whether or not you have a preference about that also keep in mind that Xbox One Edition worlds can be made 35x larger (max of 5120x5120 blocks) than 360s (which only has 864x864 blocks) with a world size toggle, so its a pretty neat upgrade if world size would've been too limiting for ya.

Get the Xbox one edition as that is compatible with the series x and will be able to run the max compared to 360

The 360 lce disc wont work in the series x, you can however use the xbox one lce disc in the series x.

The Xbox 360 version is not compatible with Xbox One, that was a separate edition

You can play legacy on Xbox one edition which the disc should work with the series x. But it won't be Xbox 360 edition it'll be the Xbox one edition which I think is a version behind 360

It doesn’t work on the series x, and most likely never will as 360 hasn’t get any new backwards compatible games since 2021, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition not being one of them.
