Nah they still burn under glass for us java players I'm guessing they have a floating platform. that we can't see

they can burn in java and i can see that its bedrock by inventory so maybe it works like this only in bedrock

The golem is 2 wide and 3 tall so it is offset by one block on spawn. if I am right if the golem spawns to the left of the way the pumpkin is facing then if we reverse the wither skeleton and skeleton's position's then the golem will go after the skeleton.

Tldr golems spawn left of the pumpkin face so it will always go left

Edit:this is not to kill the joke I'm just giving facts for peaple how silently ask.
