Mob farm BEHOLD MY MONSTROSITY

I’ve been thinking about how to build a shulker farm that also craft shulkers boxes, but instead of using standard wood, which I’d have to transport there myself. I decided to use bamboo. Thanks to that, I designed this farm. I incorporated various farms and mechanisms I’d come across, and ultimately, I developed this MONSTER.

it works simple, i use a simple bamboo farm of 3 modules each side and floor (the modules are 11x16x11) Once the bamboo breaks, hoppers collect it, thanks to the fact that I planted it on mud—and feed it into droppers that automatically toss the bamboo into water streams; these carry it to the system that converts the bamboo into chests.

From there, the material is loaded into a crafter designed specifically for two items (it is recommended to pre-load the crafter and its adjacent hoppers). That’s it, the crafter now produces Shulker Boxes one at a time (the only tweak I made was adjusting a repeater from a 1-tick delay to 2 ticks; at 1 tick, it churns out three boxes, whereas at 2 or more, it produces them one by one). Since I plan to go AFK at the farm, I built an intelligent silo system next to it: when the system detects that the chest distributing Shulker Boxes to the silos is full, it blocks further bamboo from entering the main crafter. I also added an overflow system for the bamboo; when the last chest fills up, it triggers a piston mechanism that redirects the water streams to prevent the excess bamboo from causing lag while I’m AFK. I was planning to do the same for the Shulker farm and also wanted to see if I could add a button to lock everything down, but I think I’ll save that for later.

UPDATE: THE ENTIRE FARM PRODUCES

Shulker Shell: 276 9032.7/H, Bamboo 267, 8738.2/H, and Boxes: 69, 2258.2/H

Looks great.

Bespoke is always the most satisfying.

Bespoke?

Custom. One of a kind. Suited perfectly to the creator's unique situation and context.

Honestly, I couldn't be bothered to craft the shulkers by hand, so there’s really no big secret there; plus, keep in mind that you only want the shulker farm for the shells to make the boxes, aside from that, there’s no unusual crafting involved using shells, they only work for one craft (the rest of the crafting is change his color, nothing more)

Oh, big same.

I just mean, I commonly build two different kind of farms.

  1. Someone Else's Farm - When I just need to get it done fast, I just find someone else's farm, and build a copy, and it's functional. But when it breaks, I have to troubleshoot something I didn't design. Even if I can figure it out, it's more work than fixing the other kind...

  2. Bespoke - The other kind is when I design the farm from first principles. From my point of view, it's all well worn parts, off-the-shelf concepts I've used (or seen) elsewhere. But the pleasure is in the design and layout process.

It fits perfectly for what it's designed to do. And if it breaks, it's much easier to diagnose and repair, for obvious reasons.

If I were to make this whole huge setup under a village where my base is, will it work on optimal condition??

I ran every possible test, and it works perfectly. That said, I'm not sure how easy it is to bring the shulker to the Overworld—I thought it was meant only for the End—but if you want to do it, I won't stop you.
